Snow Monkey Park

Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park

Known worldwide as the home of the “Snow Monkeys.” Come see the adorable monkeys bathing in the hot springs. Located near Yudanaka Station on the Nagaden Line.

Ryuoo Ski Park

Kita-Shiga Kogen Ryuoo Ski Park

Features one of the world’s largest ropeways (166 passengers). In winter, it’s a bustling ski resort. In the green season, the SORA Terrace at the summit offers breathtaking views.

Kaede no Yu

Kaede no Yu

A natural hot spring built on the platform opposite the train tracks at Yudanaka Station. Named “Kaede” (Maple) after the large maple tree next to the footbath.

Baio-ji Footbath

Baio-ji Temple Footbath

Known as the “Yukeburi Footbath.” Warm your feet here while strolling through the hot spring town to relieve fatigue. Free for everyone to use.

Hours: 9:00-21:00 (Tue: 11:00-12:00)

Yukeburi Jizo

Enmei Yukeburi Jizo

The only Jizo statue in Japan that soaks in a footbath, located within Baio-ji Temple. It is said that rubbing the statue while making a wish will bring good health and longevity.

World Peace Kannon

World Peace Kannon

At 25 meters tall, this is one of the world’s largest bronze statues. Built to pray for world peace. You can worship the Kannon of the Saigoku 33 Pilgrimage inside the pedestal.

Shiga Kogen Roman Museum

Shiga Kogen Roman Museum

Designed by the late architect Kisho Kurokawa. The museum features permanent exhibitions with glass motifs and various special exhibitions.
